“If you want to go fast, run alone, but if you want to go far, run together.” – African Proverb
That was a tweet I read from Dave Willis, a pastor in Fleming Island. When I read it made me think. Sometimes I just want to say, “I can do this better, faster. Let me“. Or so I think. But, what does that profit? Nothing. It just isolates & severs people from doing what they never knew they could do. It’s the leader’s job to take people to places they have never been before. That requires giving them the opportunity to try new things. Were called to make disciples. That means slowing down & doing life together.
Life, or even ministry for that matter, isn’t a sprint. It’s a marathon. It’s better to finish well, than to start well. And its a lot easier to run together than by yourself.

Just wanted to say that I really needed to read this. As I was walking to my room less than 10 minutes ago to come check my email, I was thinking about how I didn’t have complete control in something. Thanks for posting this.
